Villarani served her articles at Matlala Inc. and qualified as an Attorney in April 2002. She practiced for a while at Matlala Inc. and then joined the Public Sector. Villarani returned to practice in 2003 working at the firm Iqbal Mahomed Attorneys where she took charge of the firm’s Litigation Department from 2003 to 2006. In May 2006 Villarani commenced employment with GLM as an Associate in the Personal Injury Law Department of the firm. In 2008 she was promoted to Senior Associate and to Director in 2009. She has extensive experience in personal injury work and has specialised in this area of law for the past seven years. Her practice entails investigation into the merits of a claim in order to determine liability (if any) as well as investigations into the quantum of such claims. She also practices in the General Litigation field as well as in the field of Medical Negligence advising on medico-legal issues and statutory compliance.
