Aneeza joined GLM in 1999 as a Professsional Assistant. Prior to this, Aneeza completed her education at Wits University, where she obtained degrees in Law (BProc and LLB) and Literature (BA (Hons.) in European Literature). She then served her articles at Adams & Adams, and thereafter remained there for a short while, specialising primarily in Trade Mark Litigation. Aneeza was appointed as an Associate at GLM in January 2002, and as Director in January 2004. Aneeza practices in GLM's Corporate and Commercial Department, and has built up expertise in a wide range of fields within this sphere but focuses primarily on the drafting of commerical contracts regulating various transactions, where she acts for a number of the firm's mainly corporate clients. Her other area of specialisation is the Healthcare Industry with a particular focus on medical schemes. Amongst her clients in the Healthcare Industry is Bonitas Medical Fun, the second largest medical scheme in the country. Aneeza also lectures on a part-time basis at the LEAD School for Practical Legal Training in the field of Forms of Business Enterprises, and is also responsible for updating the Practice Manual in this course on an annual basis.
