Before joining GLM in 2006 Donald was employed in the Public Sector for ten years where he occupied several senior management positions. In 2008 Donald was appointed as a Director in the Commercial Litigation and Administrative Law Department of GLM. Donald sits on various committees of medical schemes as a Legal Advisor and Company Secretary. Key features of Donald’s practice include advice on the interpretation of legislation and compliance in the Healthcare Industry, the Financial Services Industry as well as Competition Law. He also advises on all matters relating to corporate governance, procurement, PFMA obligations as well as general corporate and commercial matters in the Public Sector. Donald has a keen interest in advising on appropriate corporate structures, including BBBEE legislative framework and the drafting of commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions as well as Due Diligence investigations. Donald has recently advised the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) on the transfer of Autopax from Transnet to PRASA, the Department of Science & Technology on the formation of a Venture Capital Programme valued at R500 million and the Gauteng Department of Economic Development on the establishment of an Industrial Development Zone at OR Tambo International Airport.
